Coral Cay Conservation (CCC) is pleased to announce a new partnership with Mikes Dive Stores, UK’s largest chain of dive stores.
CCC is a British-based not-for-profit, international award-winning organization, dedicated to providing resources to help sustain livelihoods and alleviate poverty through the protection, restoration and management of coral reefs and tropical rainforests.
Mikes Dive Store provides a range of equipment packages for coral reef expeditions. Through this exciting partnership, members of the CCC society can benefit from a 10% discount on all dive equipment. Equipment and PADI dive manuals can be purchased through Mike’s online store or by going to one of 11 stores.
CCC’s new partnership with Mikes Dive Stores brings marine biology to scuba divers offering a unique alternative to a standard diving holiday. Scuba divers will have the opportunity to train how to survey and conserve the coral reefs. This will vastly increase the number of divers developing practical skills in biodiversity assessment and conservation of coral reefs.
Mikes Dive Store’s has made an outstanding contribution to the dive industry and that’s why, CCC is excited to work with the team of diving experts whom will provide a unique and exclusive service to volunteers.
Pete Raines MBE, founder and CEO of CCC commented: “British divers are renowned for their spirit of adventure and exploration. This exciting new collaboration with Mike’s Dive Stores will open up a raft of rewarding and challenging diving expedition opportunities and unique services to the British diving community.”
Mike Calder, Managing Director of Mike’s Dive Stores commented: “We are very pleased to be working with Coral Cay Conservation. A CCC expedition is a perfect opportunity for divers to gain a unique experience and contribute to protecting the environment they love. We fully support the organisation and I hope our new partnership will help to support CCC’s conservation mission.”
CCC offers volunteer expeditions in the Philippines, Fiji and Tobago and just recently launched CCC Projects for those people who have little time to spare. Volunteers will gain a deep understanding and appreciation of tropical ecology, as well as working with local communities.
