This article about Coral Cay Conservation featured in the May Issue of Tobago’s local newspaper.
Coral Cay Conservation has teamed up with the Bucco Reef Trust and Tobago House of Assembly to start an exciting new collaborative project here in Tobago called the Tobago Coastal Ecosystem Mapping Project. As part of this partnership, which has also received financial support from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), CCC will be undertaking a detailed survey of the coral reefs, seagrass beds and mangrove forests around the island. The project, which starts in April 2007 for a period of two years, also includes a large education and community awareness programme that includes training in scuba diving and reef species identification for local volunteers.
