I had, not just a great trip abroad, but an enormously educational and satisfying experience. Prior to the trip I don’t think I had quite appreciated how much education was involved and what an important part it plays in the project. I bring this particular point to your attention because the success of the experience was entirely down to the effort and dedication of the project staff.
The entire staff were professional throughout and a credit to both themselves and CCC. I would like further to highlight the tireless efforts of Matt and Polly, two of the project scientists. Their enthusiasm and diligence during the day-to-day work seemed to me to exceed their mandate but higher recognition should be given to their involvement in activities outside of the scientific work. The drive they showed during community events (of which there were several in just 4 weeks!) was nothing short of inspirational.
Having experience of community work myself, I have some appreciation of the huge amount of effort involved. I have nothing but admiration for such dedicated individuals.
