Project Aware Foundation Official Partners
Added to website: 28 February 2006
As part of its Go ECO Campaign Project AWARE Foundation (International) recognises all dive operators/environmental organisations that operate in an environmentally responsible manner and promote Project AWARE philosophies to their customers through the Official Partner programme.
Project AWARE created the Go ECO campaign to educate tourists about how they can travel responsibly and inspire tour operators to implement best business practices in their local area. By making informed choices, you can support operators committed to environmentally responsible business practices. And, by following a few basic guidelines, you can minimise your effect on the ecosystems while contributing to environmental, economic and cultural conservation.
The Official Partner programme helps recognise dive centres/resorts that provide their customers with dive experiences that enhance visitor awareness, appreciation and understanding of the local aquatic environment as well as show a commitment to its conservation. All Official Partners agree to organise regular coastal/underwater cleanups and promote project AWARE philosophies by distributing Project AWARE educational materials and providing speciality courses.
Next time you’re travelling abroad or taking you next dive, look out for operators who display the Official Partner decal these centres are committed to Project AWARE Go ECO philosophies. Please find a list of our Official Partners below:
