The marine park staff allowed volunteers to witness a turtle lay her eggs and then return to the sea. The eggs were then collected and placed within a hatchery. The marine park staff have kindly offered to allow us to help when the turtles hatch and are ready to return to the sea.
Environmental Awareness
Capacity Building/Training of Local Counterparts
We welcomed four new scholarship students in May from Kustem University, in Kuala Terengganu. They carried out their scuba training week and then began the two week intensive science development programme.
