Tobago expedition appears on Guardian website

Coral Cay Conservation’s work in the Caribbean has been recognised with an account of life on the Tobago expedition appearing on The Guardian Weekly website.
Science officer Dan Groves describes what it’s like to work full-time on The Tobago Coastal Ecosystem Mapping Project, where he, other staff and volunteers are constantly surveying the reefs around the tiny Caribbean island.
The project, run in partnership with the Buccoo Reef Trust, is still in its infancy. The data collection though is vitally important after the massive coral bleaching event that hit the Caribbean two years ago. Dan’s article describes perfectly the challenges faced by CCC volunteers and staff, but also the rewards they reap from diving the waters around Tobago.
