CCC Vacancy: Marketing Intern.

Coral Cay Conservation (CCC) is seeking one or more part-time volunteers to assist the PR & Communications Coordinator in the research and delivery of promotional and advertising opportunities for our coral reef and tropical forest conservation programmes and for the organsiation. This is an ideal post for someone able to volunteer at least 2 days a week to assist a small company at the cutting edge of effective community-based conservation. Ideally, volunteers will be able to base themselves at the CCC offices in London (Waterloo) but working from home on occasion may be an option.
Whilst there is no remuneration offered, ALL reasonable travel and other expenses will be met. Dependent upon time commitment made by volunteers, there will be an option to be offered an expedition placement to one of our overseas projects.
Person specifications
The Intern must:- Be able to offer regular time to assist the PR and Communication Coordinator with a variety of promotional activities including organising events and presentations and designing promotional material
- Build and maintain database of partners, press & useful contacts
- Proficient computer and internet skills for search and document creation
- Organised, proactive, personable and self motivated
- Understanding of international environment and development issues is an advantage but not essential
Key responsibilities include working under the guidance of the PR and Communications Coordinator in collating useful contacts, design and update promotional material, achieve press coverage, organise events, presentations, research, maintain a database of contacts and log progress. Where appropriate, the Marketing Intern may also be asked to help by attending careers fairs, exhibitions and networking events.
