TBI Indonesia Programme Team Leader Position
Tropenbos (TBI), an internationally operating NGO founded by the Dutch Government and other international organisations, is looking for suitably qualified candidates for the position of Programme Team Leader, for it’s programme in Indonesia. The programme is executed in partnership with the Forest Research and Development Agency of the Ministry of Forestry. A bi-national committee composed of forest sector stakeholders, and TBI representatives oversee the programme.
Tasks Involved Include:
- Implementation of the TBI Indonesia programme
- Management and Administration of the TBI Indonesia Programme Office
- Dissemination and Impact Creation
The initial Duty Station is Balikpapan (Kalimantan Timur), although relocation to Bogor is currently contemplated.
Required experience and qualifications include:
- Preferably of Indonesian nationality or permanent resident of Indonesia.
- Adequate knowledge of spoken and written English and Indonesian.
- Minimum of 5 years professional experience in project management (senior position)with expertise in (field) research and an understanding of development issues in the context of Indonesia’s forests supported by an MSc or PhD degree in a discipline broadly relevant to tropical forests.
- Good communication and net working skills.
- Working skills with MS Windows and MS Office, preferably also with Exact accounting software.
- Willingness to be based in Balikpapan, Kalimantan Timur and to travel to TBI field areas in Pasir, Kapuas Hulu and Malinau.
