Local receiving Marine Conservation Scholarship Award

The 'CCC Scholarship Awards' are available to any suitable Filipino, Tobagonian and Cambodian citizen wishing to make an active contribution towards the protection and sustainable use of their coral reefs. CCC can offer up to four 'CCC SCUBA Reef Conservation Awards' (see below) monthly. There are three types of awards available under CCCs Scholarship Awards Programme, they are: 

Ife and Shari CCC Marine Conservation Scholars Marine Project Scholarships

1. 'CCC Snorkelling Reef Awareness Awards'

This short scholarship course takes place over a 3-day period. Training in snorkelling technique is provided and a short course in general reef biology, awareness and appreciation is given. Participants are requested to reside at the project base for the duration of the course.

2. 'CCC Scuba Reef Awareness Awards'

This short scholarship course provides training in both scuba diving (to PADI Open Water certification) and in general reef biology, awareness and appreciation. The schedule is run over six days and can be completed in one session (the preferred option) or over a number of days.

3. 'CCC Scuba Reef Conservation Awards'

This four-week intensive residential scholarship course is aimed primarily at local citizens wishing not only to obtained SCUBA training certification (to PADI Advanced Open Water certification) but also certification under the CCC Skills Development Programme (SDP).

Scholars wishing to undertake the above have the option to arrive on site up to two days before their designated start date to read through the dive training literature. Candidates wishing to do so should inform the relevant Project Scientist (Philippines, Cambodia or Tobago) at least four weeks prior to the start date of their chosen scheme.

Terrestrial Project Scholarships

Currently opportunities do not exist for scholars to take part in a terrestrial expedition.
