Expedition Staff on Site
Volunteer with locals
 
Each staff member has their specialist focus so its the whole team together that makes a project work - here's the break down:

Expedition Leader

Responsible for all aspects of the on-site management of an allocated series of expeditions (usually over a period of 6 months) and may work under the supervision of a Project Manager.

Project Scientist

Responsible for planning and co-ordinating the science programmes, and preparation of reports. Project Scientists will have a minimum of a Masters qualification and proven field experience in a relevant subject area.

Science Officer

Responsible for all aspects of expedition science on-site, including education and training. Science Officers have a minimum of a Bachelors Degree and proven field experience in a relevant subject area.

Medical Officer

Responsible for overseeing the well-being and health of the expedition team, and for ensuring that medical facilities and stocks at the expedition base camp are maintained. Medical Officers will be a qualified senior nurse or doctor.

Scuba Instructor (Marine projects)

A qualified PADI Instructor is responsible for providing SCUBA training for host country counterparts and Volunteers.

Mountain Leader (Terrestrial projects)

An experienced Mountaineer responsible for ensuring safety during mountain trekking activities in the forest.
To ensure you are safe and supported out on site our expedition staff are always on hand to ensure the smooth running of all CCC expeditions.
