 CCC is celebrating 25 years of conservation with a *NEW* Marine Expedition Combo to Cambodia AND the Philippines. All the excitement of exploring two destinations, the vibrancy of two cultures and the natural beauty of the Philippines and Cambodia tied up into one expedition! This is definitely a first for CCC and probably for the sector! As part of your travels through S.E. Asia, or solely to experience two contrasting marine expeditions, you can join CCC for eight weeks or more, learning to dive, survey and help protect the coral reefs of Cambodia and the Philippines! Which expedition you join first is entirely your choice and the time between them is flexible - you could transfer directly from one to the other, or you could take 3 months out, to see more of South East Asia! This fantastic offer is to mark CCC’s 25th Anniversary and the 2010 International Year of Biodiversity - a UN declared initiative to give people the chance to learn more about the rich tapestry of life around the world and discover why a healthy environment is important! Click here for more on CCC Philippines >>  Cambodia in contrast is a new destination, with new challenges and a place that has had little active marine conservation to help protect its coastline from population expansion, illegal and destructive fishing practices, and pollution! The expedition on the Island of Koh Rong, arguably one of Cambodia most stunning and least developed islands; is a fantastic retreat and a prime location for a conservation research base! In Cambodia you will need a keen eye to pick up on all the macro-life in the waters surrounding the islands, there are seahorse breeding grounds, bamboo sharks, cuttlefish, star gazers – a real collection of crypt critters waiting to be discovered… and that’s exactly what you’ll be doing, discovering, documenting and contributing to some of the first coral reef protection that has been done in Cambodia! In the Philippines, you can expect to be diving in crystal clear waters, which are regularly visited, by Whale Sharks, dolphins and sea turtles, but that's not the only reason you are there as you'll be assisting with the expansion of a network of 15 small community lead marine protected areas, run by the people, for the people!
