Coral Cay Conservation was established in 1986 with a grand vision – to ensure the health of the world’s deteriorating reef systems, a major source of food and other benefits for a rapidly growing world population. It was clear that this vision could only be achieved within a scientific approach linked to education programmes for the local communities to ensure that they continued to prosper without further damage to their reefs.

Coral Cay Conservation are an award-winning, leading specialist in community-based coral reef and forest conservation. The Coral Cay family consists of thousands of volunteers, specialists, NGO's, communities and scholars from all over the world. Our approach to conservation has always been based on citizen-science meaning anyone can join our expeditions and help give back to the environment, helping the local communities that depend on such natural resources as a source of livelihood. Coral Cay Conservation is a division of the Lifesigns Group.

Our Belief: Collectively, coral reefs and forests are fundamental to the future of our planet. To neglect or destroy these resources means great poverty for future generations.

Our Mission: To lead recognition of the importance and management of coral reefs and forests for everyone's future prosperity.

Our Vision: Using the best science, we will support the preservation of coral reefs and tropical forests and through learning and education, support the dependent communities, in the most cost-effective means possible.
