Marine and Terrestrial Project Scientist

Summary:
A minimum six month voluntary position based on our newly established project in Montserrat, as a senior in-country scientist responsible for overseeing Coral Cay's marine and terrestrial survey programmes, volunteer training, stakeholder engagement and community projects. The successful candidate will be working closely with project partners and representing CCC at stakeholder meetings to develop and expand CCC's conservation goals in Montserrat.
Minimum Requirements:
- MSc qualification in a relevant field (BSc with minimum 3 years relevant experience may be considered)
- Experience in terrestrial survey work
- Experience in marine survey work
- Experience in cultivating partnerships and stakeholder engagement
- Experience living and working in remote areas
- Excellent administrative and organisational skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Computer literate
- Minimum PADI Open Water or equivalent
- Demonstrable passion for the natural environment
Duties and Responsibilities:

Coordination and provision of ongoing training to CCC volunteers and local counterparts in basic tropical terrestrial and marine ecology, identification skills, surveying techniques, and conservation management
