Tropenbos (TBI), an internationally operating NGO founded by the Dutch Government and other international organisations, is looking for suitably qualified candidates for the position of Programme Team Leader, for it's programme in Indonesia. The programme is executed in partnership with the Forest Research and Development Agency of the Ministry of Forestry. Reef Check Australia has 2 Project Officer positions each Jan-June of each year. Project Officers work together to plan, coordinate and lead Reef Check research teams to survey sites in the Great Barrier Reef World Heritage Area. You will also be responsible for data management, analysis and the creation of a scientific report. Additional responsibilities subject to interest include helping to deliver a school education program, fundraising event coordination and grant writing. Reef Check Australia has 60 trained volunteers and works with 20 dive operators on the Great Barrier Reef Project. Good communication, motivation, delegation and social skills are therefore essential. Minimum Rescue Diver required, however an insured divemaster or instructor is preferred.The position is entirely voluntary. Closing date for application is November 20th 2007.
