How can I get involved?

Volunteer?

The project needs volunteers to undertake surveys and community work. We are always keen to have more volunteers for our projects, have a look at these pages for more details:

Become a staff member?
The following roles are required continually throughout the life of the programme:

Education Officer
The teachers of the valley are very poorly provided for and are struggling to build their own viable curriculum and really do need some help. There are opportunities for teachers to work for the project helping to set up a new education system in the area.

Water Engineers
We are looking for individuals who can help us build composting toilets for villagers and improve water access through basic technology water filters. It is not necessary for the individuals to be water engineers by trade.

Science Officers
Individuals with biological science degrees and experience of tropical forest survey work are needed to help with biodiversity assessment and community work.

To apply to any of the above roles, please see our jobs page here or email your cv to js@coralcayconservation.com

Donate Books
The schools in the valley completely lack source books and text books for teaching. If you can buy text books or have books to donate and can fundraise for the ability to post these out then we would love to hear from you. This is an ideal opportunity for a school to partner with the project. Please note that the partners cannot store books so if you have books you can send then we can pass onto you the details of the shipping company and these can be sent via them.

If you are able to help then, please contact js@coralcay.org

Organise A School Expedition
Groups can arrange to head out the project to undertake some of the work for periods of a minimum of two weeks. Living within the community in such a remote environment would be a unique experience!

For a schools pack, please contact js@coralcay.org

Send out a corporate team
Groups can arrange to visit the project for specific project needs such as building toilet blocks or large scale filtration projects or tree planting.

For more information, please contact info@coralcay.org

Visit for your holiday
By late 2007 the project will have its own eco-lodge and the Huon golf has developed a network of these. With rainforest rolling from the mountains to secluded beaches, this is the ultimate getaway and a unique holiday offering unequalled bragging rights!
